AWS Cloud Lead 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead AWS cloud solution design and implementation for enterprise-scale applications and data platforms.
  • Define and drive cloud adoption/migration strategies, including workload assessments, rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring.
  • Lead and execute data migration initiatives, ensuring secure and efficient movement of structured and unstructured data.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, including cost, performance, and security monitoring.
  • Act as a technical lead on cloud transformation projects, mentoring team members and guiding engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, Application Development, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for AWS services, providing deep insights and expert recommendations.
  • Conduct well-architected reviews and participate in architectural governance and compliance processes.
  • Evaluate and implement automation for infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, and cloud operations.
  • Stay updated with the latest AWS offerings, services, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT experience with at least 8+ years in AWS cloud architecture and engineering.
  • Proven expertise in cloud management, governance, cost optimization, and operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in data migration (databases, files, large-scale storage) and cloud migration methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS core services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS, VPC, etc.
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
  • Proficient in DevOps practices and tooling: CI/CD, monitoring/logging, automation scripts.
  • Strong understanding of security in the cloud, including identity management, encryption, and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to drive initiatives independently and work with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or equivalent.
  • Experience in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with data tools like AWS DMS, Snowball, Glue, Redshift, or EMR.
  • Prior experience in a AWS Solution + IC role, balancing project management with deep technical engagement.
